Kyustendil attracts an increasing number of tourists due to the numerous offers for “green tourism” opportunities. Osogovo mountain is one of the most venerable mountains in Europe and it offers good conditions for green and eco tourism. Many tour operators showed interest in Kystendil’s offers and strategic plans which were presented at the tourism fair this month. The municipality also intends to promote event tourism, namely local festivals of fertility and cherries.
