Ivo Marinov reported that the summer tourist season is good. The growth of the number of foreign tourists is 5%. The number of German tourists has increased by 10% and Russians- by 20%. There is a growth of the number of tourists from Ukraine and Moldova. SPA tourism has also registered a growth of 10%. There wasn’t a serious crisis in SPA tourism sector. Business hotels, however, report serious losses. According to official figures, there is a decrease of 30% in business tourism in Sofia city and other big cities. Sofia city has been affected by the crisis. Yet, there is a growth of cultural tourism in Sofia city region. Experts hope that there will be a growth of 5% of the number of ski holiday bookings.
